We have lived in Scottsdale since 1981. Our home is located on an acre of land surrounded by homes on acreage. We typically have our fair share of wild rabbits . . . much to the chagrin of my husband who is constantly battling them to keep them from treating our yard as a smorgasbord.
This year, due to the increase in rainfall and thus lots of extra vegetation, we have a higher than the ‘normal’ bunny population. Unfortunately, it is not always easy to avoid them if they happen to try and run across the street in front of your car. This morning there happened to be the remains of an unlucky bunny who did not make it to the other side of the street . . . . . however, no one needed to remove the carcass as there were 3 large vultures vying for their free and easy breakfast! I must admit, I do like our bunny population and am always sad to see one dead in the street, but it was definitely interesting to watch nature in progress!!
